March was a quiet month, as is becoming a pattern due to the start of the baseball season. Still, there was a first tour to Granada with whom we will be looking to build a close relationship and a washed out friendly against Men in Blue. Todd Fraser also announced that he will be stepping down as our online manager, and there are details of the upcoming EGM below. Last month’s results (T20 unless specified) 2nd March - Granada 272/8 (40 overs), BICC 273/9 (39 overs). BICC won by 1 wicket. Damien 3/49 & 37, Umer 76, Anish 66*. 3rd March - 1st T20: Granada 142/10 (18.5), BICC 110/10 (18.1). Granada won by 32 runs. Pep 4/25 (including hattrick), Maroof 37. 2nd T20: BICC 175/3, Granada 179/2 (16.5), Granada won by 8 wickets. Maroof 50, Tom 61* & 1/31. 31st March - Men in Blue 149/9, BICC 50/1 (8 overs). Match abandoned due to rain. Simon 4/24.
Upcoming fixtures 26th April, 12pm (starting time tbc). T20 vs Great Glen CC in Montjuïc. Further fixtures tbc. Net sessions will continue every Wednesday from 6-7:30pm and on Saturday from 10am-12pm in Montjuïc (when possible and except for when it clashes with a game). Please continue to confirm attendance via the poll on the WhatsApp group, as sessions may be cancelled due to lack of attendance. Sessions may also be cancelled due to bad weather or reasons beyond our control, so check the WhatsApp group beforehand. Members will receive an email today (2nd April) regarding how to nominate themselves. 20th-21st April: First weekend of the new Spanish women’s league at the new ground in Montjuïc - spectators and volunteers welcome. 6th-7th July: Tour to Andorra 1st-3rd November: Tour to Menorca 18th November - 6th December: end of year ECS (dates still provisional) 2024 Membership Membership for 2024 is still open. Players are expected to join the club after a trial period of a maximum of three practice sessions. Kit A further order for playing kit will go in as and when there is sufficient interest.
