Catalan kids coaching session and a victory!

Roger, Siddartha, Umer, Mohsin and myself led a two and a half hour coaching masterclass with Omair and some kids from somewhere. This mainly consisted of everybody shying wildly at stumps, missing and then falling over.
Roger made a very good speech in Catalan (there was somebody from the Generalitat present) and we then played a T20 match. Omair had recruited a stronger side than last time but we restricted them to 136 despite his very good 66. Our bowling was tight and the fielding (except for one howler of a drop at slip) was excellent (especially Roger's stop at short midwicket.)
Determined knocks from the openers and a brisk 26 from Joss, plus some seriously wide bowling by them, got us over the line with one run being needed from the final ball which we got. So, two back to back wins. Next up either Eagles or Bengali in the first match of our very own Friendship Cup.
We will try to move the Cup's fixtures time to 1.15-3.45pm for the tournament so that Nadim and Damo can play. In November the stadium has football starting at 4pm.
Those of you who couldn't make it, don't worry (although you did miss a good day.) Do sign up and come next time if you are free.
