Menorca 2024 began in classic touring fashion: sea air rolling in, voices echoing from the rope, and a BICC side ready to contest every moment. The squad travelled by ferry from Barcelona, and with Vishesh "Performance Manager" stepping in as captain and Sam organizing the weekend brilliantly, BICC leaned into the challenge from ball one.

Friday and Saturday brought shifting weather and shifting momentum. Friday began with a composed chase against Granada, then turned into a narrow defeat in the second game despite a standout moment: 🏏 Zeeshan's maiden BICC fifty in a superb 100-run stand with Damo. Saturday stayed rain-affected and fragmented, but BICC still found a way through: Tom's clean striking in the T10 set the tone, Maroof held shape, and support from Burhan and Umi kept the group in the fight before one fixture was washed out. Off the field, Maxi's guitar became the soundtrack of the trip, with Maxi and Burhan keeping spirits high between games.

Sunday's Manners Paterson Cup 40-over game was the headline act. BICC built an innings in waves: Tom's early intent with Ed absorbing pressure, Burhan and Maxi counterpunching, Ujjwal (tour debut) stepping up when the game tightened, even with Umi's 🦆 duck as a setback, the innings stayed alive long enough to post a defendable total. Then came the long squeeze with the ball - Burhan striking key blows, Maxi's unplayable spell, Vishesh managing the tempo, fielders holding nerve through every tense phase - until Zeeshan dealt the final blow to end Menorca's chase and BICC walked away with the cup 🏆. The nights had their own stories too: curry after Friday and Saturday, then pizza and karaoke at the Menorca clubhouse on Sunday, where Damo convinced Ujjwal that "Sweet Caroline" is the UK national anthem. Matchwinner Zeeshan had to leave early for his 16-hour return journey, he gladly enjoyed Caspar's company.
